[1s] Who are you and why are standing?

[15s] Hi, I'm Rich House I'm standing for the Green Party here in Hiltonbury.

[32s] I am standing because I care about the environment and our social wellbeing and I want to improve these.

[40s] Er, I grew up in Hiltongbury, went to Hiltonburi Infants and Junior School and then on to Thorndon and now I have returned to work here and live here.

[50s] So, if you also care for environment, please vote for me on May 2nd.

[54s] Thank you.

[66s] I'm Albert Slawson, your Conservative candidate for Hiltonbury.

[70s] I've lived in the Hiltonburi and China's Ford area since the mid-1970s.

[75s] Indeed, both my children went to school locally.

[78s] Over those years, I have seen many changes, admittedly many of them for the benefit of residents, but unfortunately too many things are promised and just

[86s] not achieved.

[87s] Hopefully, with your support, we can actually get things done rather than have to rely on sound bites and misinformation.

[100s] How would you make a difference locally?

[103s] As Eastley's first Green Councillor, I'd be a strong advocate for the environment and our social wellbeing.

[108s] I would campaign and vote for more trees, such as along this path.

[115s] More wildflower verges for our bees and other pollinators.

[119s] Safe routes to school for children who want to walk and cycle.

[123s] 20 mile per hour zones where they make sense and people want them again to keep our children safe and encourage walking and cycling.

[134s] I'd campaign to pedestrianise Eastley Town Centre to form pleasant social spaces where people can relax free of air pollution and noise and allow a thriving

[146s] local economy.

[149s] And campaign for more electric vehicle charge points especially for people without driveways So please vote for me, Rich House on May 2nd,

[158s] for a better environment and a quality of life.

[172s] Residence concerns need to be acted upon.

[175s] We're constantly told that taxes have been cut and services have protected.

[180s] Tell that to the residents who've been trying for months to get their roads swept, to clear them of leaves, To the extent that they've ended up doing them

[189s] themselves so they can be proud of the area where they live.

[192s] Tell to those who are trying to hedges trimmed back so that can safely walk along footpaths.

[197s] Indeed, a lot of residents have been putting bollards on the front of the grass verges near their houses to stop vehicles parking on them and causing further damage.

[208s] We need action, not sound bites.

[212s] One last call, anything you'd like to say?

[215s] We're a fast growing party with fresh innovative ideas.

[219s] Last year we reached 745 Councillors across the country and took overall control of Mid Suffolk.

[226s] Here, Lib Dems have 35 of 39 councillors.

[231s] They can spare one to look after the environment.

[235s] So please vote for the Green Party to make a real difference on May 2nd.

[240s] Every vote counts.

[241s] Thank you.

[254s] We've had many false claims throughout the years of achievements throughout The Borough.

[259s] Indeed, Hiltonry Lakes had over £250,000 spent on it for renovation work.

[266s] It was only after my intervention pointing out the shoddiness of the work which took place particularly near the bottom bridge which made it unsuitable

[275s] for those with pushchairs, wheelchairs or the elderly.

[279s] As I say, it was after intervention the council finally got new contractors in to complete the work.

[287s] We're told that the borough will be planting 160 000 trees by 2030. To date they've actually planted 4 075. This is out of a total of 22 000 which according

[302s] to the Council's own figures are due to be planted this year.

[305s] we cannot afford to allow this to go on We cannot afford it, our children cannot and our grandchildren cannot.

[313s] It's time for a change.

[316s] In May 2nd, vote for Alby Slawson.
