The residents and wider community have come together to create a knitted poppy display in the front gardens of Sunnybank House Care Home in Fair Oak.
With over 2400 knitted poppies the display. Everyone is welcome to come and look at the display, and we have some spare knitted Poppies that people can add to the gaps.
Sunnybank has several veterans from World War Two through to National Service and beyond and the oldest is 102 in a few weeks. Each has contributed to the display of poppies and are very proud of what has been achieved.
This week also sees the launch on Tuesday 7thNovember at 2.30pm Veterans Tea and Banter Group – for those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. Our own veterans will be present.
