[7s] Who are you and why are standing?

[10s] Hi, I'm Sheila Lee.

[11s] I am standing as a candidate in the Hampshire County Council elections for Charles Ford and in The Eastleigh Borough Council Elections for Hyltingbury.I

[21s] grew up in Hildingbury and have lived my entire life in Charles' Ford.

[25s] And I also worked my working life as teacher in Charlie Ford, so I have a very strong sense of loyalty for this area.

[34s] If I was elected, I would make sure I represented the people of this area, making sure that they got the best possible outcomes they could expect.

[44s] Thank you.

[52s] The subject of house building is always a very difficult one to tackle.

[57s] Chandler Swalton Hiltonbury has no space for further large-scale housing developments and so I would be very very unhappy if anybody attempted to do so.

[68s] Ideally, brownfield sites should always be looking at developed first.

[74s] There is a list of them locally, and of course the advantage of a brown field site is it already has all the infrastructure like electricity and things

[82s] like that in place.

[85s] Would you increase council tax, cut it, or keep it the same?

[89s] And what would that mean for residents?

[92s] Hampshire County Council has one of the lowest council taxes in the country.

[97s] At present, they are spending nearly 80% of that on adult social care, children's services and education, which doesn't leave a lot for anything else.

[108s] I like the fact that we have a very low council tax.

[111s] I would not want to see us putting it up, but on the other hand, because everything is very tight where money is concerned,

[118s] I cannot see any way we could justify lowering council taxes.

[122s] So as it stands, i would leave council taxation as is.

[126s] One last call.

[127s] Anything you'd like to say?

[131s] Having spoken to lots of residents across Charles Ford in the last few months, I'm aware that they have lots issues and don't always feel supported.

[140s] I promise that if you elect me, that I will support you, listen to your problems and I'll help you try and solve them if I can.

[149s] Most of all, promise I attend all meetings and that will work for the good of Charles ford to keep Charles the very special place it is.

[158s] Thank you.

[165s] you
