[0s] Who are you and why are standing in this election?

[30s] Hello, I'm Sheila Lee.

[32s] As the lifelong residents of Childress Ford, i am standing for Childless Ford in the Eastleigh Borough Council elections as I feel that I can talk for

[40s] the people of childless ford and make sure they get the best opportunities they can.

[46s] I have a proven record of working in local community both as a local teacher and also as chairman of the local music festival,

[54s] secretary of local communities association and school government in one of What do you think about the bus services into Eastley and what can be done to

[74s] improve it?

[75s] The lack of public transport for Chambers Ford is appalling.

[79s] At present there are no bus service between Chambers and Eastle, which is a totally unacceptable situation, particularly for older residents who have bus

[88s] passes and therefore rely on those to get into the East.

[91s] The train situation is also not much better.

[95s] On Friday I decided to take a train into Eastleigh.

[98s] I was lucky to be able to get one because the next two had been cancelled both ways which would have meant that somebody going into eastleigh by train

[106s] would've had to wait probably three or four hours for a or caught a taxi.

[112s] It is vital that a proper bus service is put back into Chandler's Ford if necessary subsidised by the local council so that residents can get into easily.

[123s] How will you make Chandler Ford a better place to live?

[128s] Chandler s Ford needs better youth provision across the area.

[131s] At the moment there is very little for young people to do in the evenings and weekends.

[137s] Our local parks need great improvement as they are subject to flooding and do not get maintained properly.

[145s] In addition, there are several green initiatives I would wish to bring in, both across the entire Charles Ford Ward, but also for individual streets to

[156s] build the sense of community in the area.

[159s] Is the Council's £600 million of debt a good or a bad thing?

[165s] £650 million in debt, which equates to over £10,000 per household in Eastleigh, is totally unacceptable.

[175s] This has come about by this property speculation that the Eastleborough Council have been taking in.

[181s] in particular investing in properties outside our area.

[185s] Anybody who's been into Eastley town centre recently would recognise that actually they should be investing there rather than elsewhere.

[193s] If elected I would work to bring this debt down.

[197s] One last call, anything you'd like to say?

[200s] As a lifelong resident of Chalmersford I have a huge sense of community pride, however I am aware that at present there are vast areas of Charlersford

[210s] which could do with improvement, particularly the area south of the railway line which does not get the same amount of resources spent on it as north of

[219s] railway which is totally unacceptable for the people living there.

[224s] I would promise if elected that I will always be there for people and would fight to help them with whatever battles they needed fighting.

[232s] Thank you.
