Flautissimo and Piccolissimo Flute Orchestras Rehearsals

Flautissimo has been the hub for flute players in Southampton and surrounding areas. We welcome players of all ages, all standards and all levels of experience to enjoy making music together. We rehearse in term time. We are a friendly and inclusive group with rehearsals split between two sessions: Piccolissimo for players up to grade 4 standard and Flautissimo for players of grade 5 standard or above. We play a variety of music from baroque to contemporary, and arrangements to our own commissions. The group plays all flutes from the piccolo to the contrabass. Players can opt to play different parts and different instruments. The group has a number of altos, basses and a new contra-bass which are loaned to those who want to play them in the group.
