[0s] you Hi there, my name is Josh Constable.
[37s] I am the Labour and Cooperative Parties candidate in Eastleigh Central for this May's local elections.
[45s] i live in the town centre and I also work locally for the NHS in contract and finance analytics.
[54s] Hi, my name's Claire Fawcett.
[56s] I'm standing in Eastley Central Ward for the local election on May the 5th with Reform UK.I stood in the by-election in February as well and I also stood
[67s] last year in Baddersley.
[69s] So I am really looking forward to it.
[71s] It's going to be a good one.
[74s] Hi there.
[74s] My name is Simon Payne and I'm the Conservative candidate for EC Central.
[78s] I've lived in EC Town Centre with my wife and children for over 20 years.
[82s] Also worked locally again for 20 over years, a wife, and my daughter both work in the EC town centre.
[88s] And the General Secretary of the ECE Allotment Association.
[91s] Recently, I have been a COVID vaccine volunteer and have I been in local politics since 2015 when I had the opportunity to meet the Transport Secretary
[98s] to discuss air quality and congestion.
[101s] My name is Jack Stapleton, I'm the Green Party candidate for the Eastleigh Central Award.
[106s] In my day job I am a Project Support Officer and outside of this I write and produce musical theatre and comedy shows.
[115s] So hi, it's lovely to be here, really pleased to part of this virtual hustings.
[121s] So my name's Tina Campbell, hopefully you'll recognise me because I am one of the existing ward councillors for Central.
[128s] I'm independent, I've been representing you since 2017 and I hope on 5th May you will give me your support to continue.I'm standing in the Central ward
[138s] for the borough and also for Blenheim ward on the parish.
[142s] Thank you.
[158s] That's a tough one.
[158s] If I had to pick one favourite place in the borough, it would probably have to be the Itchin Navigation.
[166s] I've got some wonderful memories of taking walks up there, I think it's absolutely beautiful.
[171s] We've some gorgeous areas of countryside in Eastleigh.
[175s] And yeah, definitely the itchin navigation walk.
[179s] Beautiful.
[182s] Next question.
[183s] What's my favourite places in The Borough?
[186s] Well, that one's quite easy for me, really.
[188s] I've always loved Hamble.
[190s] It's a lovely little place.
[192s] Love being down by the water.
[194s] Some lovely restaurants and bars there.
[196s] Really relaxed atmosphere.
[198s] Somewhere I like to go on a sunny day and just relax.
[202s] So yeah, for my it's Hambl.
[205s] What's my favourite place in the borough?
[207s] It is actually quite a difficult one to limit to one place, we have many beautiful places in our borough.
[213s] In central Eastley, as this is where this election is, I'm going to actually say Lee Road wreck.
[217s] And yeah, especially when events are going on, like the Mellor, the Pride, and the Christmas light switch on.
[223s] I'd just basically like to see large groups of families there all having a good time together.
[228s] My favourite place in the borough has to be Itchin Valley Country Park.
[232s] It's somewhere I have a lot of fond memories visiting as a kid.
[236s] Somewhere I still like go, you know, when the weather's nice for a stroll around to the cafe there, it's lovely.
[241s] Lovely little spot.
[243s] So question two, favourite place?
[246s] I'm going to go for Lee Road wreck.
[249s] I love its history, the fact that it was the failed hospital during the First World War.
[253s] The fact someone had the foresight to plant those 100 years ago.
[259s] We've got a green space like that in the heart of our community.
[262s] It's a place where we come together to celebrate you know be it Unwrapped or Pride or the Summer Social, the Mella and it's also the place we commemorate
[272s] our war dead so it is all about green space and community and that pretty much sums me up.
[276s] Thank you.
[284s] I'm standing at this election because I have a five-year record of standing up for Eastley Borough Council residents.
[292s] I've stood in every election since 2018, coming in second in all of them.
[296s] And the main contender against the Liberal Democrats.
[299s] and I will continue to stand in Eastleigh until the job is done and we have representation that is progressive, that's focusing on the issues that matter
[308s] and that can change the broken nature of politics in eastleigh.
[312s] Question number three, why are you standing in this election?
[316s] Okay, so I've lived in Eastleigh for 11 years and I absolutely love the place.
[324s] It's really friendly, great town.
[327s] I think that the Liberal Democrats have had the day really, it's a one party state really in eastleigh.
[335s] Don't think they get any challenge.
[337s] don't think there's much in the way of scrutiny of their decisions and they all agree with each other and I'd like to be the alternative voice on the council
[345s] to challenge and scrutinise decisions that are made on behalf of the people of Eastleigh.
[351s] Hi, so why am I standing in this election?
[353s] You as a resident of East East Central deserves better and we need change and I want to help deliver that.
[359s] The council is so one-sided currently that decisions even at local area committee get taken sometimes with very little debate and straight along party lines.
[368s] Take the recent Baker's quarter planning application.
[371s] At one meeting it was agreed to defer as they wanted changes made and a clarification.
[375s] It then came back at a later meeting with no changes and the chair used his casting vote to approve it.
[382s] I already regularly attend and challenge, but I need your support to be able to take this further.
[388s] Thank you.
[389s] I'm standing in this election because I want the residents of Eastleigh to have the opportunity to elect a candidate who's not sticking to any particular
[397s] party line, who is free to represent them and fight for a greener, cleaner and safer borough for everybody.
[406s] So question three, why am I standing?
[408s] I'm standing because I really care about Italy and I care what happens to the people who live here and it's the quality of our lives.
[416s] I want all of us to have that equal opportunity to live a really good life.
[420s] And I think that the wellbeing of residents and the protection of the planet should be at the heart of council decision making.
[427s] We need a strong, independent and compassionate voice who's going to stand up for residents, and make sure that council acts in their best long-term interests
[435s] and that they take climate change seriously.
[437s] Thank you.
[446s] I've lived in Eastley Central in my house since 2017. My partner moved here after finishing university and we've been renting the same house ever since.
[456s] I think it's really important that any Councillor has a good record of activity in the area that they want to stand.
[463s] A good understanding and good links with the community.
[466s] Um, I don't know why you'd stand for an area you don t have any experience in representing.
[473s] Question number four, it's in two parts.
[475s] First part, how long have you lived in Eastley?
[477s] Okay, so I moved down to Hampshire in 2011, moved to Eastly in 2012, although I worked in eastly from 2011. Lived in the town centre for two or three years
[490s] and now live just outside the Town Centre boundary.
[495s] The second part of the question is, what's your view on local councillors not living in a town or county that they represent?
[503s] Well I think it's obvious.
[504s] If you're to understand the issues of the place that you are seeking to represent, you need to live there, mix with the people,
[513s] know what's going on in the town.
[515s] Living outside, being parachuted in, it is going to be no help to anybody really, just a token gesture.
[524s] How can you understand what the issue is of people in town and what they want and don't want if you donít live here?
[531s] It's not rocket science.
[534s] So how long have I lived in Easty Town Centre?
[537s] I have lived at the town centre for over 20 years and I work for B&U up near Asda.
[543s] Councillors should, in my opinion, live locally as I feel they need to be part of the community.
[549s] Councilors represent you so need be around and get a feel of what is the Community view.
[553s] If they move out the area, I think they should seriously consider resigning.
[559s] I've lived in the borough since I was 10 years old and in Eastley Central Ward specifically since August 2020. I think that councillors who don't live
[570s] in The Ward that they're representing are missing out on opportunities to see life from their constituents point of view and to better represent them in
[578s] that way.
[581s] So question four, I've lived in EC for 22 years and the local connection is incredibly important to me.
[587s] It's why I'm so active and engaged in the community.
[590s] How can you represent people if you don't actually understand what challenges they're facing?
[594s] Although to be fair, it's not all about geography, It is about contribution and engagement.
[599s] You can live locally and actually contribute nothing and that's no good.
[604s] So engagement is the key to being a good local counsellor.
[607s] Thank you.
[616s] I think this is a brilliant question.
[619s] If money, resources and planning were no object, the one thing that I would, well I can think of several, but the thing I'd have to say I definitely build is,
[627s] a completely publicly owned integrated public transport system, so with trains, buses and also cycleways which are all free at the point of use for Eastley residents.
[640s] My second pick would have be a locally owned energy co-operative.
[646s] Question number five.
[648s] If money, resources and planning were no object, what one thing would you build or create for the people of Eastleigh?
[656s] We just need something back.
[658s] It's nothing new.
[659s] I want our police station back in the town centre.
[663s] One that's manned, not a little office outside of town that you can never go into.
[669s] We need one with a counter service, we need a visible police presence.
[673s] Having that in the town would really help deter the rising crime that we've had since it closed.
[679s] That's all I want.
[682s] What was the one thing that I would build or create for the people of Eastley?
[686s] We all know about the congestion and the cost of parking in Eastle, especially in the town centre.
[691s] I think we need to create a rapid transport system that is valued for money, runs on a regular and timely basis and connects across the borough and into
[699s] the neighbouring cities and towns.
[701s] Without this, there's too much need for cars, which only adds to the issue.
[705s] We need think about how we can build developments that cars are not the norm.
[711s] Rather than building anything new, I think that the single biggest thing that we could do for the residents of Eastley would be a mass campaign to properly
[721s] insulate all of the homes in the borough.
[722s] This would help people make a big saving on their energy bills, which are through the roof right now, but also help us cut our carbon emissions through
[730s] reduced energy usage.
[733s] So question number five, and this is a real biggie, I'm going to try and still keep it local rather than national.
[740s] So I want to redesign the town and, you know, let's create that 10 minute town so that all our needs are met within a 10-minute walk from home.
[750s] Think about how much land we currently use up with roads and garages and car parks and you know things like that and if we could repurpose some of that
[761s] land so that we can have more housing in the town centre we, can more community places in town, more parks, we have dedicated cycleways,
[772s] green connected walkways all by just focusing more on people than on the motorcar.
[779s] We'd have better air quality, fitter, a more cohesive community, we wouldn't have as many lonely people and we would have better mental health.
[788s] So that's my vote.
[790s] Thank you.
[802s] I think that the trick that The Council is missing is that it's consistently had its priorities really badly wrong on the kind of housing developments
[810s] that its approving and pushing for.
[812s] Housing developments in East here currently overwhelmingly favour unaffordable homes that are only in the interests of private developers to sell.
[821s] That's 65-75% unaffordable homes on new developments.
[826s] I would want to reprioritise those affordable homes and I'd also labour the only party calling for council housing to be brought back.
[837s] prioritising redeveloping urban areas particularly like we've got empty office blocks which could be purchased and used for affordable and council housing
[849s] but I also support new powers for councils to tax and force the sale of empty homes like Labour has done in Wales which I think is going to be hugely successful
[858s] for their area.
[860s] Next question is how do you think you could help the housing without building more Do we need any more?
[868s] I mean, the Liberal Democrat Council have overbuilt by 49% in the last few years.
[875s] The infrastructure in town, roads, just cannot take the amount of traffic we've got as it is.
[880s] If we're going to build more, we are just going make the problems worse.
[884s] But this is what the Lib Dem Council do.
[886s] They build problems for the future.
[888s] And it's not needed.
[890s] How do I think I can help with housing without actually building more.
[895s] I think the council needs to look at all empty housing within the borough and actually work with the owners to bring those back into use as soon as possible.
[904s] Some of them may be possible for subdivision but only if it doesn't impact the character of the area and it can be proved that there isn't a need for the
[914s] original sized property.
[916s] I also think there's massive opportunity to redevelop in the town centre but needs a proper joined up plan.
[923s] I would like to see a lot more support for people who are renting and a recognition that where you build a house is almost as important,
[932s] if not more important than how many houses you built.
[936s] New houses have got to be near to employment, public transport, to other local facilities.
[944s] Okay so question number six, another great question, so you're absolutely right we can't just keep on building more and borrowing more that's just a recipe
[954s] for disaster so what could we do?
[956s] Well I think we firstly need to make sure that all the homes in the borough are actually being used so have a much better empty homes policy which is fully
[967s] enforced and also looking at commercial property in a town centre that is just left as part of someone's property portfolio but actually isn't there for
[974s] the benefit of the town and they're just land banking it to increase property values.
[979s] So I think we need to deal with that and maybe compulsory purchase if it's not being used.
[984s] And then thinking about things like why don't we pay residents to open up their homes and share their home with other residents?
[992s] you know, just as we would do for refugees, why not do it to help people actually in the borough?
[999s] And then thinking about relationships because relationship breakup is one of the things that actually drives the need for more housing.
[1006s] So perhaps we could help in that way as well.
[1009s] Thank you.
[1020s] I would hope that it laboured through our local manifesto showing that our policies will always be developed in concert with local residents but if there
[1029s] was something that residents were deeply opposed to and we had overwhelming opposition from the local residence I'd want to see a citizen assembly held
[1039s] and I obviously argue strongly for what I believe in at every point even if I might disagree with residents, but at the end of the day I respect the findings
[1047s] of that citizen's assembly.
[1050s] Next question, if your prospective constituents were overwhelmingly opposed to something that the council or your party proposed,
[1057s] would you A, try and convince them, it was a good idea, B, support them or C, something else explained?
[1064s] Right, I'm going for C.
[1066s] What an effective council should be doing is consulting with its stakeholders before they come to any decisions.
[1074s] And the main stakeholders in any constituency are the people that live there.
[1079s] If you're not consulting them and asking them what they want, that's why they're opposing you, right?
[1088s] Do your groundwork, get your stakeholders involved and find out what people want.
[1093s] Don't just make decisions willy-nilly for nice vanity projects that you think are a good idea like the Lib Dem Council do without considering the impact
[1102s] on the people that are electing you and what it's going to do to your area.
[1109s] I'm quite an analytical person and I like to make informed decisions so I would listen to what my constituents have to say and make my decision based on that.
[1118s] I will not just blindly follow the council or party proposal.
[1122s] Some constituents might not find a decision but I always be open and willing to discuss my decisions.
[1129s] At the end of the day, a counsellor's job is to represent their constituents, but also to put forward their own vision of how they think life in the borough
[1138s] could be improved.
[1138s] So if my constituents disagree with me on something that I felt really, really strongly about, I would take as much time as possible to explain my view
[1147s] as persuasively as is possible, But also recognise that you're never going to agree with everyone about everything all of time.
[1154s] Question number seven, and this is quite a straightforward one for me, As an independent I represent the people of Eastleigh,
[1161s] I don't represent interests of a political party.
[1164s] So for me I definitely would be voting to support what local people want.
[1169s] The only time that that wouldn't be the case would if it was a matter of conscience for my in which case I would abstaining.
[1177s] But I left the Lib Dems because I wanted to be free of group standing orders and I want to able to vote for the things that I thought were in the interests
[1186s] local of people.
[1187s] Thank you.
[1211s] There's limited actions local councils can take on dentistry, but I can say I would approve and argue for any planning permission for new NHS dentists
[1224s] and easily we need to get that supply in.
[1226s] But ultimately we national change, we have to rid of this Conservative government, get a Labour government in that we know will fund our NHS,
[1234s] that will give that funding for NHS Dentistry as well.
[1239s] Okay, the question about the dentist.
[1242s] So I think we need to be really bold and ambitious here to get the waiting list down, not just for the dentists, for GPs.
[1250s] Reform UK's health plan proposes working in collaboration with the NHS and the private sector together.
[1258s] That's not privatisation by any means, that's just working together under time-limited contracts with the private sector.
[1266s] So if you can't be seen by a dentist or a GP within a reasonable amount of time, the NHS gives you a voucher to take to a private provider so you could
[1274s] be seeing quicker.
[1275s] Similarly, if we can see a consultant, same kind of thing, you get a vouch to go to the public sector and it's paid for by the NHS.
[1284s] We believe this will considerably increase private capacity and medical staff will be incentivised to set up clinics in private settings and over time
[1296s] this will drive the price down for the NHS.
[1299s] It's bold, it's ambitious but we've got to do something to get people treated.
[1303s] How am I going to tackle the dentist crisis and the long waiting lists and lack of trained dentists?
[1309s] This is so sad to hear.
[1311s] No one should be in pain or needing repeat antibiotics.
[1315s] For your son, I would ask you to please contact our MP and he will look into this for you.
[1320s] There's a £50 million funding injection to secure up to 350,000 additional appointments this year across the country.
[1327s] If elected, i will work to ensure we get our fair share of healthcare access in Eastleigh.
[1333s] Firstly, that's a really difficult situation and unfortunately I don't think that you're alone in facing it.
[1339s] There's only so much that we can do at a local level but in the sort of long term I think the council needs to work with other public bodies,
[1346s] local authorities to ensure that the support is there for anyone who wishes to train as a dentist to be able to do so.
[1353s] So question number eight, and my heart goes out to you.
[1357s] I can only imagine how awful it is to have a loved one in so much pain and to be told that they can't be helped for, you know,
[1365s] nearly 10 months.
[1367s] The situation, it's a national crisis.
[1369s] It isn't something that falls to the borough.
[1372s] So I would be supporting you by lobbying the local MP, getting him to lobby, the health minister, doing a Deputation to the Health and Social Care Committee easily,
[1382s] maybe a press campaign, a petition, something like that.
[1385s] Thank you.
[1397s] I think there's a lot the council should be doing on prevention of antisocial behaviour.
[1401s] We know the closure of Eastley police station was a mistake and Labour nationally want to offer police hubs to all towns,
[1408s] so towns like Easty would get a police hub in their locality.
[1411s] But I also think locally turning back on night-time street lighting would do a lots to deter antisocal behaviour We also believe in bringing about more
[1420s] public use recycle bins for these areas to prevent littering.
[1424s] Next question.
[1425s] The play areas in central Eastley are very neglected.
[1427s] There's often broken glass and other hazardous rubbish found in the mornings in parks.
[1432s] What will you do to ensure they're safe and fit for purpose?
[1436s] Okay, I think this again comes down to there being no real visible police presence in Eastleigh.
[1443s] A lot of antisocial behaviour goes on particularly with you, to gather in these places, leave a mess, cause trouble, drink illegally,
[1454s] all sorts of things like that.
[1456s] If we can drag the antisocial behaviour down, I think it will make everybody's lives better and the play areas will definitely benefit from that So what
[1468s] would I do for our play area to ensure that they are safe, fun and fit for purpose?
[1473s] I prioritise these sites with the street scene team to ensure they are visited early in the morning and any issues addressed at that time.
[1480s] I will also look at prevention, so look to see who is causing this issue and then work with our community.
[1486s] So, is it more bins needed, better lighting, CCTV or do we need different provision for some groups of our communities?
[1493s] A safe space that they will look after and respect.
[1496s] This is something I see quite a bit of on my lunchtime walks around easterly, so yes I agree we need probably increased frequency of bins collecting,
[1504s] litter picking and maybe a strategy to identify particular trouble spots where more proactive intervention might be needed.
[1513s] So question number nine, and I think this is a really interesting question.
[1517s] And I have to say, I don't actually agree that they are badly neglected.
[1520s] I didn't think that this was a borough council issue, but I do think it was actually a community issue.
[1528s] We need to come together as a committee to use our power collectively and just make it kind of clear that this is not acceptable.
[1537s] These are our young people, these are members of our community who are behaving in this way and we have to say no.
[1551s] The climate emergency is absolutely the number one issue we face as a society and even as species, and it will be my number-one priority coming into the council.
[1561s] I think that we've got those prioritisations wrong, as I've said, we need to protect strategic gaps, not just leaving them as empty,
[1570s] green, grassy, run-down fields.
[1572s] We need actively reforest and rewild these areas to make them our green lungs for our urban centres.
[1579s] As I've said previously, prioritising the building on Brownfield and redeveloping existing urban centres to provide the affordable and council housing
[1587s] we need, I would want to see a drop in the low density and unaffordable housing prioritisation that this council currently has and prioritise that affordable
[1598s] housing and that social housing which we needs in Eastleigh Borough.
[1603s] Next question, as there is a climate emergency, where should we build more houses and what mix of social, affordable, open market would you propose?
[1613s] I just say we've got enough housing for the moment in Eastleigh.
[1618s] As I said earlier, the Lib Dems have overbuilt by 49%. Why don't we just pause this for a while and think about our infrastructure and how we can improve
[1629s] that before we start thinking about how many more house were going to build?
[1633s] So for me on housing, Greenfield should be the absolute last on the list.
[1637s] We should also be using brownfield sites and looking at the regeneration of our town centre space.
[1643s] At the moment, the town center redevelopment is piecemeal and not joined up.
[1648s] Having a home is important to everyone, so where possible it should all be development above the minimum of 35% affordable.
[1656s] Having development in the town centre should help to regenerate our high street and also our transport services and so reduce the reliance on cars.
[1665s] I think new houses have got to be built in areas where people are not going to relying on car.
[1672s] We need more social housing, more affordable housing in these areas so people who work locally can afford to live locally and that's going cut down on
[1683s] traffic and emissions from cars So question number 10, and again, this is another big one, so I'm gonna have to use a minute for this one.
[1692s] You're absolutely right, there is a climate emergency and we need to be taking action today, right now.
[1698s] So we to make sure that any building that does take place, that the properties are energy efficient, they are fully insulated,
[1707s] we've got solar powers, things like that, but also it needs to in communities that are within that 10 minute town.
[1714s] We shouldn't be using our green spaces.
[1717s] So we need to stop relying on private cars and we to use walking and cycling and public transport as much as we can.
[1726s] In terms of affordability, there's nothing to us going for 100% affordability on all council own developments.
[1735s] We don't need the 25 to 30% profits that private contractors do.
[1740s] So let's make it work for local people and let make for the planet.
[1752s] The number one thing that residents would miss out on is a new voice on Eastley Borough Council.
[1757s] I've been campaigning for real change in Eastle for the last five years, I have a proven record, i have published a plan,
[1763s] and I'm the only candidate standing on a local manifesto.
[1766s] And I am the one candidate that has the new ideas and the drive that Eastly needs to see real changes.
[1775s] Next question.
[1776s] If you don't get elected, what's the biggest thing residents will miss-out on?
[1782s] Well, an alternative voice, somebody to challenge, someone to scrutinise, to look at things from a different perspective and to make sure that the right
[1797s] decisions are being made for the people who are beastly.
[1803s] So if I don't get elected, what is the biggest thing residents are going to miss out on?
[1807s] For me, it's the chance to start the process of change, and me being able to do more for our community with new ideas.
[1813s] I already challenge our local area committee on local issues and air quality, but I'm limited by not being to take part in the debate.
[1821s] You putting your trust in me will get me into that debate, being be able speak for you.
[1826s] If I'm not elected, I feel the residents of Eastley will miss out on a candidate who's not beholden to a party whip, so is free to represent them without
[1836s] fear or favour.
[1837s] I'll bring a fresh pair of eyes and some new ideas to the table, and I think that's something that the council is sorely in need of.
[1846s] So question number 11, a bit embarrassing this question, but all I can say is I work incredibly hard for the people of Eastleigh and I always have done.
[1857s] I'm really committed to making local people's lives as good as they can possibly be.
[1863s] and I continually am that independent voice that's challenging the council and making sure all the time that they remember that work for the people of
[1872s] Eastleigh and our whole reason for being there is to make local people's lives better.
[1876s] That's all I can say.
[1879s] Thank you.
[1894s] The last thing that I'd like to say to everyone is thank you so much for watching this video.
[1898s] Thank you for engaging in the democratic process and for researching your candidates.
[1904s] I've run a positive campaign.
[1905s] I'm continuing to knock doors and I continue to not doors right up until polling day.
[1910s] Uh, I really hope that after watching this, you'll see that EC Labour's plan that promises real action, not just words on the climate emergency that promise
[1919s] is to renovate our high street and grow our local economy is the best way forward for Eastley.
[1925s] Sadly, other candidates have put out misinformation in their leaflets.
[1928s] The current council's priorities are warped, prioritizing unaffordable housing, and now taking our debt, Eastley Borough Council debt to £600 million,
[1939s] all so they can continue to speculate on the commercial property market.
[1944s] I believe it's the job of local councils to serve local people, to grow the local economy, and to protect our local environment.
[1950s] And I hope that after watching these videos, you'll vote Labour and Co-operative and back my campaign for real change in East...
[1957s] Last question!
[1958s] Okay, anything else I'd like to say?
[1962s] Well, anecdotally, when I'm on the doorsteps and speaking to people in Eastleigh, I am always told we want change, we need something new in the town.
[1971s] Well my message is, go out and vote on 5th May and, vote for something different, even if that's a protest vote.
[1981s] Vote for somehting different.
[1982s] Be brave, be bold, take a deep breath.
[1985s] And vote something for new and fresh.
[1987s] That's what I'am offering.
[1989s] So, this is a local election about the things that impact you, like your parking, town centre, bin collection, housing and play facilities.
[1998s] It's not about a leader of the National Party, it's about our community and our town.
[2003s] We've all been through so much over the past two years, I personally lost my Dad to Covid at the start of pandemic, so I am clear that the Prime Minister
[2010s] does need to be changed.
[2012s] I'm using the energy that I've gained through adversity to no longer be accepting of doing the same old things.
[2018s] We all deserve change here.
[2020s] You have a key, important vote.
[2022s] If you think there's no point in voting as the party will get in, then yep, guess what, that's likely to happen.
[2027s] you can make a difference here.
[2030s] Last year I stood in East East South and I managed to close the gap significantly to the Lib Dems.
[2036s] I believe I can actually beat the lib Dems here in east central for that reason please please vote for me thank you.
[2044s] i'd like to say thanks to Adam for putting this together to everyone watching at home and to my fellow candidates for taking part may the best one of us
[2053s] win thanks So to finish I just want to say thank you, thank so much for listening to this and definitely thank for supporting me over the past five years
[2066s] and I hope on May 5th that you will continue to support me and that your vote Tina Campbell, vote independent and ensure that there continues to be a strong
[2077s] independent voice holding the council to account and making sure that the Council is working for you.
[2084s] Thank you
