Hedge End Lib Dems put up costs for sports teams, gardeners, community organisations and bereaved families

On 10 February the Recreation and Amenities committee of Hedge End Town Council voted to increase charges across the board by 3% for the coming year.

This increase applies to the Albert Road cemetery, sports pitches, community halls and allotments.

Inflation is currently less than 1%.

Local football is already on its knees. Cost to entry is absolutely atrocious. The idea that 11 people have to fork out over 100£ for 90 mins of exercise isn’t acceptable.

Pitch, Hants FA, registration, equipment fees are all massive detractors for local football. Moreover, the quality of the facilities and pitches continue to erode.

Absolutely disgraceful.
